How does dieting help in reducing weight? Weight gain arises due to many factors of which bad eating habit is the main culprit. The first and foremost aim in any weight loss program should be to assess and identify the root cause of the weight gain. In this diet regime, you need to totally stop eating any kind of fried food or foods that use fat in any form. In a day you need to consume 1.5 liters to 2.0 liters of skimmed milk in any form. The whole idea is give your body a high protein diet. This diet together with a walking regime of at least an hour a day coupled with light exercise for about 20-30 minuses in a day will see you gradually looking 1.5 to 2.0 pounds every week.
Next is a low Carbohydrates diets (also known as low carb). These are very strict diet regimes which eliminate fat totally and also eliminate carbohydrate from your diets to the maximum possible extent. Examples of lo carb diets are the Atkins diet and the Sugar buster diet. These diets aim at reducing your intake of carbohydrates over a period of time.
These are usually short term diet programs and should not be continued for very long without medical guidance.
